What a beautiful, quiet, lovely oasis in the middle of Rome. The Hotel Vilon is one of the finest hotels we have ever had the pleasure of staying in. Even though it is a perfectly situated home base for great for Roman sight-seeing, you feel the peaceful tranquility of a 5 star boutique hotel even before you enter the doors. The GM, Martina, and the rest of the "Viloners" curate an amazing, accommodating and truly relaxing atmosphere within the historical walls of the Palazza Borghese. From the moment they met us at the door until our departure several days later they became friends and people we will visit again in the years to come! We had a room with a terrace on the second floor and loved to sit outside with a glass of wine, smelling the beautiful jasmine wafting through the air, and hearing the birds sing while we overlooked the Palazza Borghese’s courtyard . However, we didn't want to sit too long, because we didn't want to miss the wonderful cocktails at the bar, and the outstanding food at Adelaide, their Michelin starred restaurant. Which is listed as one of the most romantic restaurants in Rome by Michelin. It certainly did not disappoint. We had a very intimate, relaxing and outstanding dinner there. Chef Gabriele Muro and staff outdid themselves from the amuse bouche to the best pasta dish we've ever had (Rigatoni all’Amatriciana). Do yourself a favor and finish with the prettiest (and tastiest) dessert you’ve ever seen--the L’oro di Procida (lemon mousse with white chocolate)! The presentation alone is worth the calories, but the taste is out of this world. I can't end this review without thanking the lovely people who make the magic happen (and I apologize in advance for misspelling of any of the names). In addition to Martina there is: Obrey (who sings like an Angel), Julia (Mom of three very large and photogenic Corsos), Eleesa (the former Disney princess), and Frederico (who described himself as a "simple waiter" but should describe himself as Vilon's number one ambassador). Thank you all for an unforgettable stay--we will return!!
Housed in a former chapel, the hotel feels like stepping into a dream, elegant, intimate, and full of charm. The rooms are stunning, beautifully designed with every detail thoughtfully considered. The staff were exceptional, especially Maria, who took care of us during our stay. She went above and beyond, helping with reservations, offering great local tips, and always with the kindest attitude. Her warmth truly made a difference. Breakfasts were a delight, and being in the heart of Rome, just steps from everything, made exploring the city effortless and enjoyable. Without a doubt, one of the most special places we’ve ever stayed.
Stayed at this luxury, boutique hotel this month and loved it. It is pricey but worth it in about every way. The service simply could not have been better, the room was of decent size especially for a Rome Hotel and the food was excellent. This Hotel also has one of the most beautiful bar areas we have encountered. The location is near the Tiber on a small quiet side street next to the in-town Borghese Palace which our room overlooked. If you want to be treated well I would highly recommend this Hotel. Everything about it was 5 Star plus.
Absolutely Wonderful Stay at Hotel Vilòn Everyone here is so genuine, accommodating, and truly sweet — they made us feel completely at home. The food at Adelaide was excellent, and breakfast was a highlight each morning. The grounds are beautifully maintained, and the rooms are spotless and thoughtfully designed. The location couldn’t be more perfect — just steps from the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, and some of the best shopping and dining in Rome. Overall, it was an amazing experience through and through. We left already planning our return. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a charming, intimate, and luxurious stay in Rome!
Beyond expectations! I felt like home and this is a very rare feeling for me, when I’m traveling, specially when I sleep anywhere else but my bedroom. Extremely clean and with a feeling of freshness, not the usual smell of the hotels. New towels, clean and soft bedsheets! Superb service.. far better in comparison with many other similar hotels. The Adelaide restaurant was excellent. The Vilòn team, is very friendly and helpful. Well done!
Top notch hidden gem on a quiet street in the heart of Rome. The interior design is both light and delightfully moody (depending on the space). The rooms are well appointed and comfortable. The service is calm and confident. What a pleasure to stay here.
My wife and I are leaving the Hotel Vilon after a 3 night stay and it’s perhaps the best hotel we’ve stayed in. The service was excellent from start to finish, the rooms are very nice and comfortable, and the location is hard to beat. We will definitely be returning here on our next trip to Rome.
If I could give this hotel more than 5 stars, I would. It is a beautiful little spot tucked away from hustling streets but close enough to great dining & sights. The staff was INCREDIBLE. So thoughtful & attentive: arranged for pick up from the airport; left us cold bottles of water on our nightstand every evening; complementary chef-made breakfast & coffee; housekeeping noticed we were using old receipts for bookmarks and brought us Hotel Vilon specific bookmarks & post cards to use instead. I genuinely could go on and on. One of my favorite hotels we have ever stayed in. This place is a must return to spot. Thank you for everything!
